....and a very Good Day to you all!
After the most glorious 4hours of praising the Lord we are back home... it was Harvest Thanks Giving Sunday at church and it was magnificent.
Preperations have been going on all week and the church building was filled with all the food produced on the lands...fruit and flowers.
Every pew was filled to the end...from the front to the back. I have not seen the church packed to capacity like this before and it was glorious and the singing out of this world.
Last Sunday we feared that the organ was going to blow a transistor but an Angel must have been keeping guard over it and all went exceptionally well. I new every Hymn by heart and could even sing with....as is the tradition there was a guest preacher...the youngest Presbeterian Church in Ireland in the capital town of Maynooth where the priests are educated. he does evangelical work and Acts 8:V 26- end was his reading and he took the theme of harvest through the seed planted long ago in the Ethiopian Eunoch's heart to his baptism as harvest..and into our own lives. Some sermon for the CAtholics that were present. I invited 3 of my work friends here to attend...and they were ever so glad that they came.
As in England we have had the best week of the summer here near the end of autumn...the sun shining every day and no rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The days are markedly shorter and the sun has lost its intense warmth.
A young man will come and rescue the replastering of the front wall and we hope that it will be finished before the cold weather comes.
it has been a thorn in Barry's flesh..since we painted it and the ridge between old plaster and new plaster became very evident..
At Work the news has been sad ..a very good doctor ,and they are few and far between , a well known Rheumatologist.Michael Kelly and an excellent physician died of a massive heart attack 2 nights ago in his sleep,. he also suffered from throat and tongue cancer and have been fighting the desease galantly.
As always and I hope it will continue ..to go to work is the greatest of pleasures!!! I just love it!!!(Some think I lost it)
There is not a thing left in a basket or a barrel or pot ..it has all been emptied and cleaned out.Roses has been replanted to great joy of themselves and started to sprout all over again...we hope to have a new venture for next summer.Barry, some time ago, went with the lawn mover over everything in the vegetable garden and now I have a new growth of spinach..too lovely!!!
I am not sure about birthdays but according to my book Sandra's Mom has a birthday 1/10, Nine will remember her wedding day 2/10 and Derek, Joleens husband will have a birthday on the 4th Heidi from Georg on the 5th. many happy returns of all the days and anniversaries!
Well I hope sincerely that your Sunday has been as blessed as ours was!
Wish you a good and healthy week!
Regards and take care
Barry & Christina( Stien...etc)
